Task 1
Transdisciplinary Immunology Journal Club #TIJC
We have created and launched a new Club titled Transdisciplinary Immunology Journal Club (TIJC), which brings together doctors, researchers and students passionate about immunology.
We explore key articles relevant to various medical specialties and discuss the latest advances in immunopathology.
It is led by Samuel Bitoun and François-Xavier Danlos.
All sessions are available for replay.
Task 2
International Summer School (theoretical and practical courses) for CAR-T cells, CAAR-T cells and BiTE management in autoimmune diseases, solid cancer and hematological malignancies
These international Summer Schools and courses target medical students, residents, fellows, doctors, nurses, taking care of patients with autoimmune diseases (field of rheumatology, internal medicine, neurology, gastroenterology, nephrology…), solid cancers and hematological malignancies.
It is led by Samuel Bitoun and Camille Bigenwald.
Task 3
Development of the existing E-learning SPOC on relations between autoimmunity and cancer
The Management of Immune Related Adverse Events of Cancer Immunotherapy (MIRACIP) SPOC, part of the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH), is led by Olivier Lambotte (Université Paris-Saclay) and Samuel Bitoun. This international online course has already gathered over +100 participants every edition.
Immunotherapy has revolutionized oncology through immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), but up to 70% of treated patients experience immune-related adverse events (irAEs). These toxicities, distinct from those of traditional therapies, demand rapid, multidisciplinary management and a strong understanding of their mechanisms.
MIRACIPS responds to this educational need through a 25-hour program (in English, subtitled FR) including short expert videos, quizzes, and discussion forums.
Upon completion, participants receive a University Certificate (3 ECTS).
Modules:
- A: The Immune System and Immune Checkpoints
- B: Indications of Immunotherapy in Oncology
- C: Management of Immune-Related Adverse Events
Courses are taught by an exceptional international experts: Laurence Zitvogel, Xavier Mariette, Caroline Robert, Olivier Lambotte, François-Xavier Danlos, Stéphane Champiat, Jean-Marie Michot, Lisa Derosa, Ronan Flippot, Aurore Vozy, Samuel Bitoun, Anne-Gaëlle Goubet, Eleonora De Martin, Mohamad Zaidan, Natacha Naoun, Jérôme Lepavec, Camille Bigenwald, Antoine Rousseau, Vincent Godschmidt, Philippe Jamme, Stéphane Ederhy, Joana Mourato Ribeiro, Anne-Lise Lecoq, Cécile Cauquil, Laszlo Torday, Raphael Pardi, and Marcel Mentil.
Regular updates and international outreach are ongoing to expand participation from clinicians, researchers, startups, industry partners, and students, fostering shared expertise at the interface of autoimmunity and cancer.
