FHU CARE 2020-2024 Work Packages

During 2020-2024 period, FHU CARE was organized in 4 work packages (WPs), the first one focused on pathophysiology, 2 others on different types of relations between epidemiology and treatment of both types of diseases and the 4th on improvement of teaching.

Common pathways involved in Autoimmune Diseases, Cancer and Inflammatory Diseases (WP1)

Adaptive and innate immunity. The balance between pro vs anti-inflammatory immune cells (macrophages, T cells, dendritic cells) is opposed in C vs AID/ID.

Risk of cancer in Autoimmune Diseases and Inflammatory Diseases. Risks, implications and evolution, drugs and new perspectives in cancer immune surveillance.

Immune-Related Adverse Events (irAEs) in the immunotherapy of cancer (WP3)

Management of adverse events, modulation of autoimmunity, modulating microbiome treatment to cure cancer.

Teaching the relation between Auto-immunity and Cancer (WP4)

Specific training on Autoimmune Diseases, Cancer and Inflammatory Diseases, are implemented in the University Diplomas
